Will
you travel to our venues?
Gladly.
What
are your hours of operation?
Normal hours of operation are Monday to Friday between
10am and 6pm. Consultations may be booked during this time or later
in the evening if this is more convenient for you and your fiance.
Emails and voicemails are checked frequently.
Do
you require advanced booking?
Yes. Since dates are booked fairly quickly, as much notice as possible
is beneficial.
What
is the payment structure?
Normally,
a 25% non-refundable deposit is made upon signing the contract.
The balance of 75% is due upon receipt of the first draft. At this
point, this is your opportunity to make changes to the video before
the final copies are made.
Do
you offer payment plans?
Yes.
We can arrange a convenient way for you to invest in your keepsake.
Monthly payments can be easily arranged. Please inquire.
Can
you provide references?
Yes. Previous customers will be happy to speak with you regarding
their experience.
Done
in a Month or it's Free Guarantee - What is it?
If
we fail to complete the 1st draft within one calendar month of your
wedding day, your deposit will be refunded and your balance owing
is zero. For Raw Footage Packages, the guaranteed completion time
is one week (7 days) after your wedding day. This guarantee applies
to contracts signed on or after July 1, 2006.
What
makes you different from the rest?
Quality for less. Other videographers can charge upward of $2000
for a basic wedding video. We can offer you a quality-assured keepsake,
one that will last a lifetime, starting at around $1000. Quality
customer service is always a priority for us. We thrive on making
your experience with us a happy one, therefore we'll stop at nothing
to make sure you are satisfied in every way possible.
What
type of equipment do you use?
We
use only 3CCD video equipment to ensure the highest quality video.
As a no-charge option, we offer a low-key unobtrusive wireless microphone
setup during the ceremony to clearly capture the vows you make to
one another. Fluid head tripods ensure smooth camera movements when
recording from a stationary position. In the studio, powerful real-time
workstations aide in the high turnaround of your edited wedding
video.
What
types of special effects do you use?
For
our discerning clientelle, we use only classy effects such as sepia,
black & white, slow motion, soft focus, old movie effect, letterbox
(16:9), etc.
Will
you go table to table and get comments from our guests?
As we try to remain as unobtrusive as possible, we will
not opt to go table to table unless you and your fiance ask for
this specifically. Another possible option is a 'table scan', where
the videographer will just pan across the table, without prompting
your guests to say anything to the camera. This is also only available
by request.
Will
you use bright lights?
Some
video companies will put 1000 watt light stands on each corner of
the dancefloor, much like a music video or a film set. But this
is your wedding, not a movie production. Adding so much light will
take away from the ambience and may spoil your evening. The amount
of light we use will solely depend on your preferences, which will
be addressed during our initial consultation.
Can
your packages be customized?
Yes.
If none of our packages suit your needs, we would be happy to create
a custom package for you.
How
do we receive the 1st draft and/or final product?
You can either pick it up from the studio directly, or
we can have it delivered by Canada Post XpressPost for a nominal
fee which will be added to the total cost of the package.
Do
you work with a second cameraman?
Arrangements
can me made for an additional videographer's camera angle. The price
is $500, or $100/hour, whichever is greater.
What
are the benefits of miniDV?
MiniDV and DVCam are digital video, as opposed to VHS (analog).
This allows the editor to transfer the video to a computer, and
edit it with absolutely no loss of quality.
What
is the difference between "Analog" and "Digital"?
Quality.
Digital is quickly replacing anolog in the world of video editing.
Your TV's resolution is 720X480. 720 meaning vertical lines, and
480 meaning horizontal lines. Digital (DVD) can utilize all 480
horizontal lines of resolution. Its ancestor, analog (VHS) however,
can only use ~300 lines maximum.
Do
your low overhead costs affect customer service or the quality of
the product?
Definitely
not. What we mean by low overhead costs is this: We already own
all of our equipment outright, we don't lease or rent anything.
Also, we don't sub-contract work like some other companies.
Do
you charge tax?
Yes, 8% PST and 5% GST will be applied to all package fees.
Do
you accept credit cards?
For
your convenience, we accept Visa, Mastercard, and American Express.
